About
Welcome to the Multicultural Association of Sussex
“An inclusive community that embraces, values, and celebrates cultural diversity.”
At the Multicultural Association of Sussex (MAS), we believe that diversity makes our community stronger. We’re here to support newcomers as you settle into life in the Sussex region, and to help create a warm, inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome.
Our Mission
To support immigration to the Sussex region by providing services that meet community needs, promote harmony and social inclusion, and help build a vibrant, connected community.
Our Mandate
We’re committed to making Sussex a welcoming home for everyone.
Here’s how we do it:
We support newcomers by helping you access the services you need — from government programs and language classes to education, employment, wellness, and community connections.
We promote respect, equality, and inclusiveness across our community through cultural events and educational services
We support local employers by assisting you with settlement plans and information that will enable newcomers to integrate into the region.
Who We Are
The Multicultural Association of Sussex is a newcomer settlement agency serving Kings County since 2018. We work closely with community partners to help newcomers feel at home and build meaningful connections. Our programs offer support with settlement, language learning, navigating school systems, wellness, and cultural exchange.
Our Experience
Since our founding, MAS has developed a wide range of community engagement strategies — from online and in-person language classes to cultural events, information sessions, and monthly newsletters.
We’re proud of our growing partnerships with municipal, provincial, and federal government bodies, as well as local organizations like:
- The Town of Sussex
- Kings Regional Service Commission
- Sussex Area Wellness Committee
- Sussex & District Chamber of Commerce
