Red Dress Day

May 5
Today we honour and remember Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people.
Across the country, red dresses are hung in trees and in our communities. Each one represents someone who should still be here. A daughter, a mother, a sister, an aunt, a friend.
Today our spirits are with the Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people from our own communities who have lost their lives to violence. We carry them with us recognize the place they still hold in our lives.
We stand with all communities, families, and everyone who continues to call for change.
