At MAS, we believe that children and youth are at the heart of a thriving community. Our programs are designed to support young newcomers as they grow, learn, and connect in Sussex

SWIS (Settlement Workers in Schools)

Our SWIS program provides direct support for newcomer students and families within local schools as you adjust to life in Canada. We help ease the transition into the Canadian school system, assist with communication between home and school, and ensure students feel welcomed, included, and supported in your education. Assisting with everything from school registrations and tours, report cards, preparing for post-secondary education, and much more!

Youth Programming & Events

Beyond the classroom, MAS offers a variety of youth programs and activities that encourage friendship, learning, and leadership. From Movie and Homework Clubs, to cultural exchange events, sports, and creative workshops, we create safe spaces for youth to explore your interests, celebrate diversity, build confidence, and foster inclusion.

Community Connections
Through special events and youth-focused initiatives, we bring young people together to share experiences, develop skills, and strengthen your sense of belonging in our community. We aim to help newcomer children experience Canadian culture through events, crafts, and experiences. Celebrating and entertaining at special events together such as Halloween, Christmas, Diwali, and more!
